As the 100th century commemorations of the 1916 Easter Rising takes place this year, we delve into the heart of Irish History and remember those who fought for our independence and all of those whose lives were lost in doing so.

Whilst we remember those brave souls, we must not forget that 40 innocent children aged under 16 lost their lives during the attacks that took place over 6 days. Some of them were caught up in the crossfire, some whilst looting and some at random by the British army or when civilians would not co-operate with them.

Currently no memorial plaque exists to remember those children that were lost, so it is important for us during the commemorations to make their names visible and include them in the Easter Rising Commemorations.
