Note: McGoldrick was killed instantly by a shotgun blast when he and two of his comrades were ambushed at Ballinspittle on 25 April 1920. He had been a member of the RIC for as many as thirty-eight years. He had been a farmer before joining the force. At the time of his death he lived with his family at Innishannon.
